Growing Together: The Small business Training Program that promotes economic empowerment in The Caribbean
The Coca‑Cola Caribbean System continues to expand this innovative economic empowerment initiative focused on the continuing growth and sustainability of traditional trade business which provides free training focused on acquiring administrative, financial, and digital knowledge for shopkeepers of traditional mom and pop stores in the region.
This training program is “an example of how the Caribbean can forge national alliances in favor of economic and social strengthening of its countries” said Muhammad Abdullah, Vice-President of Operations for the Caribbean at The Coca‑Cola company. Adding also, that it is one of the priorities for the region, because “For the Coca‑Cola company along with our partners, it is always priority to support all of those who make possible for us to achieve our purpose of refreshing the world and making a difference”.
This program benefits Small shops, traditional trade mom and pops and convenience stores that are essential for the communities where they are located. Which is why The Coca‑Cola Caribbean System is proud to support their growth and development through economics empowerment initiatives like Growing Together with Coca‑Cola which has already graduated thousands of small businesses owners in Barbados, Saint Lucia, Belize, Jamaica, Guyana, Grenada, Trinidad y Tobago and the Dominican Republic.
