Ingredients:
- Mint (A must have in a mojito. Substitute for basil, but it will not be
traditional). - Lime (Another must in a mojito. Substitute for orange or grapefruit,
but it will not be traditional). - Sugar (Granulated sugar is best to get a delicious crunch and pop of
flavor in the drink. Substitute for simple syrup, honey or agave). - Topo Chico Sparkling Mineral Water.
Instructions:
- Muddle half of the lime in your glass.
- Add the sugar, remaining lime and mint leaves. Muddle
to release lime juice and essential oils of the mint. - Add ice cubes, top with Topo Chico Sparkling Mineral
Water and stir - Garnish with fresh mint sprig or lime wedge.
Variations:
- Want to mix it up? Try adding the following:
- Fresh or frozen berries: strawberry or blackberry are tow good
choices. - Other citrus like grapefruits or oranges.
- Add jalapeños to make it a little spicy.
- Swap out the mint for another herb like basil!
- Add a few chunks of cucumber!
- Used crushed ice cubes to make this mocktail recipe even more fun!
