Entrants and Exclusions

This Promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 16 years or older (Eligible Entrant).

Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and their employees, and agencies and representatives associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. For the purposes of these Terms immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step- parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

 

Promotion Period

The Promotion begins at 12.00am NZST on 01 October 2026 and ends at 11.59pm NZST on 10 January 2027.

 

Entry

Eligible Entrants must:

a) Purchase any participating Sprite product during the Promotion Period. Any participating MyCoke product will also be eligible to enter the Sprite NBA Basketball Promotion.

b) Sprite products excluded from this promotion:

• Sprite & Sprite Zero Sugar: 330mL individual cans, 330mL glass bottles
• Sprite Regular: 36 can multipacks

c) If purchasing Sprite (jug or glass) at a participating café, licensed bar or restaurant, you will receive an entry card containing a unique entry code – limited availability. While stocks last.

d) Visit www.sprite.co.nz  (Promotional Website).

e) Sign up or log in to your MyCoke account.

f) Enter the unique code found on your Pack or the entry card to enter the draw.

g) By completing the Entry Method, the entrant will receive one (1) entry.

Please note: The unique code entered on www.sprite.co.nz is for this promotion only and is separate to weekly MyCoke draws on www.mycoke.co.nz but any unique codes from MyCoke promotional packs can be used to enter the Sprite ‘Be in to WIN your way to the NBA’ New Zealand promotion. To enter MyCoke draws, you will need to enter the relevant unique code at www.mycoke.co.nz. For eligible products, when your unique code is entered at www.mycoke.co.nz during the Sprite NBA Basketball promotional period, you will automatically be entered into the Sprite NBA Basketball major prize draw only and will not be eligible for the Sprite NBA Basketball instant win prizes.

 

Limit

Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the following:

a) Entry Limitation: Limit of five (5) entries permitted per person per day;

b) Prize Winning Limitations:

• Major Prize: There is only one (1) major prize available, which can only be won once.
• Secondary Prizes: A maximum of three (3) Instant Win prizes may be won per person throughout the entire Promotion Period.

c) Each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry instructions above and each entry meets these Terms and Conditions. 

Prizes

There is one (1) major prize plus three hundred and sixty (360) instant win prizes that will be awarded during the Promotional Period. 

Total Prize Pool

The total prize pool is NZD 82,205.

 

Prize Distribution

MAJOR PRIZE

One (1) Major Prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received throughout the entire promotional period. The selection will occur at the end of the promotion period on Tuesday, 12^th January 2027.

The Major Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and is not

redeemable for cash.

INSTANT WIN PRIZES

The three hundred and sixty (360) Instant Win prizes will be awarded based on random pre-determined set times during the Promotional Period as selected by a computerised random system throughout the Promotional Period between 12.00am NZST on 01 October 2026 and ends at 11.59pm NZST on 10 January 2027

Instant Win prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash. 

 

Prize Winner Notification and Delivery

MAJOR PRIZE

The winner will be notified via the e-mail address supplied on the drawn entry form within five (5) working days of the winning entry being drawn. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information submitted on the entry form. The winner needs to confirm acceptance of the prize within five (5) working days of being notified as a winner, otherwise the Prize will be forfeited and the Prize will be re-drawn.

INSTANT PRIZES

Provisional winners will be notified immediately on screen at the time of entering if they have provisionally won a prize, and if so, details on how to verify their entry and claim their prize.

Prize notification will be delivered via email and each winner of a physical Prize  should allow up to 21 days for delivery from the date of winner notification. 

 

Unclaimed Prizes

Prize claim date for all Prizes: by 11:59pm NZST on 22/01/2027.

Any instant win prizes that are unclaimed (at the end of the Promotion Period) or are unclaimed (by the prize claim date above) will be forfeited (including the Sprite Mini Basketball Hoops and Sprite Basketballs).

Sprite Mini Basketball Hoops and Sprite Basketballs

If a Sprite Mini Basketball Hoop or Sprite Basketball instant win prize remains unwon at the end of the Promotion Period, or has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a Sprite Mini Basketball Hoop or Sprite Basketball prize winner (or if a Sprite Mini Basketball Hoop or Sprite Basketball prize winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded.

Unclaimed Major Prize determination: 26/01/2027

If a major prize has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a major prize winner (or such major prize winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry will be discarded and the Promoter will either re-award the relevant prize to Reserve Entrant and/or carry out an unclaimed major prize draw at the date and time stated above to randomly distribute the prize amongst valid entrants.

 

Prize Winner Publication

The name of the Sprite NBA Basketball Experience winner will be published on the Promotional Website at the end of the Promotion Period.

 

PRIZE DETAILS

MAJOR PRIZE – Sprite NBA Basketball Experience

There is one (1) Sprite NBA Basketball Experience for four (4) to be won throughout Promotion Period.  

The experience (Major Prize) is comprised of:

• Return economy class airfares (including checked baggage and airfare taxes) for four people from the winner’s closest commercial airport to Los Angeles, USA.
• Transportation to/from the airport and the NBA game in the USA.
• Three nights’ accommodation (twin or double share).
• Tickets for four (4) to an NBA game (exact dates and location to be confirmed by the Promoter); and
• NZD$3,000 spending money (for the winner only).

1. The Major Prize has an estimated value of NZD$47,855.

2. The Winner must be 18+ at the time of taking the Prize. If the Winner is 16 or 17, at least one (1) Companion must be a legal guardian who is 18+. Any other Companion who is under 18 at the time of taking the Prize must also be accompanied by a legal guardian who is 18+.

3. Each Major Prize excludes the items listed below (such list is not exhaustive) and are therefore the responsibility of the winner and his/her companion:

a) All other costs and personal expenses such as shopping, transportation (other than the transportation specified), food and beverage expenses and taxes;

b) Accommodation related charges other than the room rates; such as phone calls, laundry, in-room movies, loss of hotel property, damage to hotel property, or any other expenses incurred in the hotel other than those stated above;

c) Transfers to/from the winners closest commercial airport, travel insurance costs or Passport and Visa costs.

4. The Winner and their Companions of the Major Prize must be available to travel from 12–15 March 2027 to attend the LA Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors game on Sunday, 14 March 2027.

5. If the winner does not reply to the Promoter within five (5) working days of notification of being a Major Prize winner, the winner’s entry will be declared invalid, and the Promoter reserves the right to roll-over the prize into the second chance prize draw.

6. If the winner is under 18 years of age at the start of the Promotion, their nominated travelling companion must be a parent or legal guardian who is 18 years of age or older.

7. The Major Prize must be taken on the dates specified under Prize detail. All components of the Experience must be taken together.  Each winner will be solely responsible for their companion, including ensuring that the companion complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

8. The winner and their travelling companions may choose to extend their stay in Los Angeles at their own expense. Any additional costs associated with the extended stay, including but not limited to accommodation, meals, transport, travel insurance, visas, taxes and other incidental expenses, will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their travelling companions.

9. It is the responsibility of the winner and their companion to meet any health and safety requirements applicable to the Prize (for example, in the event of a global pandemic), including (but not limited to) obtaining any pre-departure forms, tests, or checks, or fulfilling any other requirements, such as performing and returning any required negative tests, as may be mandated by third parties. If the winners are unable to travel due to lockdowns, vaccine restrictions, or other measures associated with a global pandemic, they may forfeit the Prize.

10. The winner must notify the Promoter of the name, age and contact details of the persons that the winner wishes to nominate as their companions, along with any special needs or requirements (such as whether wheelchair access is required, any dietary requirements etc.) within five (5) days of accepting the prize.

11. The Major Prize must not be sold, used, donated or given away as part of another promotion. If the winner declines the Major Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize within the same Prize conditions. If the redrawn winner does not reply to the Promoter within ten (10) working days of notification of being a Major Prize winner, the winner’s entry will be declared invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to roll-over the prize into another second chance prize draw.

12. By accepting the Major Prize, each winner consents to the Promoter providing their personal information to the airline, transfer providers and accommodation providers to make and confirm their bookings. The winner must also assist the Promoter by procuring the written consent of their companions to provide their information as well.

13. Room configuration is double or twin share. Rooms are pre-booked and specific room types are unable to be requested. Room types may vary.

14. The winners will be required to sign a Participation Agreement in the form required by the Promoter, confirming acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry; accepting the Terms and Conditions relating to the use and enjoyment of the Major Prize; releasing the Promoter, and it’s officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability in connection with this promotion and/or the Major Prize.

15. Each winner and his/her travelling companion take the Major Prize entirely at their own risk and may be required to sign a waiver prior to taking the Prize.

16. The Major Prize Winner must have a valid credit card, which is required for any hotel expenses not covered under the Major Prize.

17. If the winner chooses to accept the Prize and it involves travel to the United States, it is the sole responsibility of the winner and their companion to ensure compliance with all applicable entry and visa requirements, including but not limited to obtaining an ESTA visa or any other necessary travel authorizations. The winner and their companions are also responsible for meeting any health, safety, or legal requirements imposed by U.S. authorities or other relevant third parties. Failure to meet these requirements may result in forfeiture of the Prize, with no alternative compensation provided.

18. Taking the Major Prize is also subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of any accommodation / transport / services / transfers / ticket providers, and in particular, of any health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. Any tickets or vouchers issues as part of the Major Prize are subject to prevailing terms and conditions of use, are only valid for use within the stated duration on the tickets or vouchers issued, and are not replaceable if lost, stolen or damaged.

19. If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Promotion is interfered with or disrupted in any way by a cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, acts of Government, strikes, tampering, computer bugs or viruses or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Promotion.

 

INSTANT WIN PRIZES

20. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash.

21. If the winner of a physical Prize does not reply to the Promoter within ten (10) days of notification of being the Prize winner, the winner’s entry will be declared invalid, and the prize be forfeited.

22. If a Prize is unavailable, for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter may offer an alternative prize of equivalent value and specification.

 

SPRITE BRANDED MINI BASKETBALL HOOPS

23. There are one hundred and fifty (150) Sprite Branded Mini Basketball Hoop Sets valued at $50 each to be won.

24. Each Prize will be sent via courier to the winner’s address once the winners residential address has been supplied.

25. The Promoter will not be liable to any person if an incorrect email address has been supplied, or if the instant win email disappears into the winners Junk Mail or SPAM folder.

26. The Promoter will not be liable to any person if an incorrect address has been supplied, for any damage caused to the Sprite Branded Mini Basketball Hoop Set Prize, or if the Prize is lost or goes missing, after it is dispatched for delivery to the winner

Standard Conditions of Entry

1. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant or winner, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant or winner.

2. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrant's details (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Incomplete, indecipherable, inaudible, incorrect and illegible entries, as applicable, will at the Promoter's discretion be deemed invalid and not eligible to win.

3. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries.

4. Entrants must comply with all requirements of the Promoter including requirements specified in the Terms and Conditions. If an entrant enters or attempts to enter the Promotion in a manner, which in the Promoter’s opinion, is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or is fraudulent or unjust to other entrants (such as hacking, cheating, deception, or any other unfair playing practices), the entry may be rejected at the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid if the entrant:

a. fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Promotion to the Promoter's satisfaction;

b. tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion;

c. submits an entry which in the Promoter's opinion is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions;

d. acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person;

e. in the opinion of Promoter, engages in conduct in entering the Promotion, which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter;

f. breaches any law; or

g. behaves in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.

5. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. Entry is conditional on providing this information. By entering this Promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use the entrant’s personal information to conduct the Promotion in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (including to send electronic messages or telephone the entrant in relation to the Promotion).

6. The Promoter may, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and other suppliers for the purposes of this promotion. The details of winners will be held in accordance with the Coca‑Cola Oceania Limited Privacy Policy that can be accessed by visiting www.coke.co.nz/mycoke/privacy-policy . The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the New Zealand Information Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. Winners should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter at the postal address provided above.

7. Nothing in these Conditions of Entry restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and/or Fair-Trading Act 1986.

8. If, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, any aspect of the Promotion is not capable or running as planned, or the conduct or operation of the Promotion is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, acts of Government, civil unrest, strikes, tampering, computer bugs or viruses or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or recommence the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, at any time without prior notice, subject to any applicable law.

9. The Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for claims, losses (including loss of opportunity), damages, injuries, costs and/or expenses, whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, suffered, sustained or incurred as a result of, or arising in any way out of, or in any way connected with, the Promotion or any Prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law)
