E-REDUCE with Sarangani Province Empowerment & Community Transformation Forum (SPECTRUM), Inc.

E-REDUCE Phase 3 supported communities across General Santos City in 2025 to improve recycling and waste management, working in partnership with local government and barangays. Together, they collected over 28 tonnes of plastic for recycling and safely diverted more than 393 tonnes of other waste away from landfill, helping keep the city cleaner and reduce environmental impact. The project also established 56 community collection hubs across 26 barangays, supported and formalised 120 waste workers with training and safety equipment, and helped communities develop long-term waste management plans that now contribute to the city’s wider sustainability strategy.
