TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR "FANTA SKIZIA UTAMU” UGC CHALLENGE 2026
The following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to the “FANTA SKIZIA UTAMU User Generated Content Challenge” (“the Challenge") and by participating in the same you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the same.
Organization, Duration, Eligibility and Entry
1. The Challenge is organized by Coca‑Cola Central, East and West Africa Limited (“CCCEWA”) or (“Organiser”), and its partners and/or agencies hired by CCCEWA to support the Challenge (hereinafter together referred to as “the Organizers").
2. By participation in the Challenge, the entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Organizers which are final and binding in all matters related to the Challenge.
3. The Challenge will run from 1st September until 31st October 2026 (“Challenge Period”). However, the Redemption window will be open until 30th November 2026.
4. To be eligible for participation in the Challenge, participants must have attained the age of eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry.
5. To Enter the Challenge, participants must:
a. Register via the official campaign website; Buy any Fanta pack and Scan the QR Code which leads to the Fanta UGC Website or log Fanta Creator Platform to register.
b. One can register as an Individual participant or participate as a member of a Squad. Participants who register as squads can only be members of one squad. There is no maximum number of individuals who make up a squad. Squad rewards are dependent on eligibility criteria and not the number of participants in the squad.
c. Submit your details and provide the following information for verification and tracking: Instagram handle and/or TikTok handle, Phone number that will be used to send payment, National Identification (ID) Number and Email address
d. Accept the Terms & Conditions: Carefully review and accept the Terms & Conditions, Brand guidelines (including the campaign hashtag), Campaign Do’s & Don’ts, and the Data Privacy Notice.
e. Receive Confirmation. Once registered, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on email and SMS to verify your email address. In addition to the OTP, the Campaign Do’s & Don’ts, Terms and Conditions and Brand guidelines including the required campaign hashtag will be shared on email.
f. Create & Post Your Content: Create your content in a video format (Reel) and post it on Instagram and/or TikTok using the official campaign hashtags #SkiziaUtamu and tag the brand page @fantakenya to ensure visibility and tracking.
g. Profile Limitation: All social media accounts used for participation must be owned, registered, and operated by you, and you must have full rights and authority to use such accounts for the purposes of this campaign.
h. Posting Window: Only posts published within the Challenge Period will be counted for reward eligibility. Participants cannot submit the same video/entry multiple times.
i. Cumulative views; The total number of views will be determined by adding the number of views in each individual post on TikTok and Instagram to determine the cumulative views.
j. Public Profile Requirement: Posts must be made to a public profile and must remain live (not deleted, archived, or set to private) for the duration of the Challenge. Posts that are removed or made private will not be counted and may be disqualified.
k. Fraud Detection: Fraudulent views, engagements, or any manipulation of metrics will be detected and will result in immediate disqualification of the affected posts and potentially the participant.
6. Content Requirements; Posts that violate any of the following requirements will be rejected and will not count toward the leaderboard or rewards. The Organiser will notify participants when posts are rejected with the reason for rejection.
Content must:
i. Feature a clear visible Fanta sip moment. Your video must show a person taking a real sip of Fanta from a Fanta bottle or can. Fanta should appear naturally in the content — as the connection, not just a background prop.
ii. Show a reaction. Showcase Fanta's deliciousness in a fun, authentic and creative way
iii. Create and submit original content through the Skizia Utamu Challenge website Fanta Creator Platform.
iv. Use the official campaign hashtags- Post your entry publicly on TikTok or Instagram using the official campaign hashtag.
v. Be original. Recycling content from other creators is not permitted. All submissions must be the participant's own work and created specifically for the Skizia Utamu Challenge. Exception: Use of trending audio tracks, popular meme formats, and platform-native templates (e.g., TikTok sounds, Instagram Reel templates) is permitted and encouraged, provided the video itself is originally created for this Challenge.
Content must not:
i. Not contain controversial or offensive material. This includes but is not limited to; hate speech, discriminatory language or imagery, political messaging, religious provocation, sexually explicit content, violence, or content that demeans or mocks any individual or group. Content depicting illegal activity or promoting unsafe behaviour (including dangerous stunts, crowd violence, pitch invasions, or excessive alcohol/product consumption) is also prohibited. Don't show wasteful packaging moments (throwing cans, littering)
ii. Not feature children under the age of 13.
iii. Not include unauthorized intellectual property and competitor logos. Do not show competitor brand logos, competitor marks, or third-party trademarks (including music) without written consent from the owner.
iv. Not feature duplicated, AI-generated or non-original entries.
v. Not make any statements about any ingredients and health benefits unless substantiated and preapproved.
Creative guidelines Dos & Don’ts: All creators must adhere to The Challenge dos and don’ts to be eligible for the rewards outlined in this document.
The Challenge Do's:
i. Capture real, spontaneous Fanta deliciousness reactions
ii. Include Lip-smacking reactions, Dance content, Comedy, Gaming, Campus Life, Food pairings, Lifestyle, Fashion, Creative storytelling
iii. Remember to: Get clear permission from anyone featured in your content (friends, family, close-ups) and only use the official Fanta Jingle UKINING’INIA (Official video ft Fanta https://youtu.be/jrFsHtN8p94)
The Challenge Don'ts:
i. Don't over stage content — emotional reactions must feel real, not scripted
ii. Don't obscure Fanta brand in your content
iii. Don’t use AI-generated or AI-edited footage. Published content should be in its original, authentic form.
Prizes
7. Participants in the Challenge stand a chance to win a total of Kenyan Shillings Two Million Five Hundred Thousand (2,500,000 KES) which shall be distributed as prizes, depending on the number of views attained, as follows:

Identification of winners and prize disbursement
8. The Cash Prizes may only be won once, and winners of either prize will be ineligible to win another equivalent cash prize in the Challenge.
9. The prizes in this Challenge are non-assignable, non-transferable, not exchangeable and are redeemable only in the Republic of Kenya.
10. All cash prizes awarded in this Challenge are subject to applicable taxes and statutory deductions. The prize amounts specified in the Challenge advertisements and these Terms and Conditions represent the gross value prior to any deductions. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to comply with all tax obligations associated with the receipt of the prize. In the event that the Organizers are required by law to make any statutory deductions to the Prizes, the Organizers will deduct the required amounts and remit to the relevant authority as is required by law. The net amount received by the winner may be less than the advertised prize amount due to these required withholdings. By participating in this challenge, you acknowledge and agree to these deductions.
11. Verification will be conducted by the Organiser based on:
- Confirmation of cumulative views between both applicable platforms (Instagram and TikTok) achieved during the Challenge Period;
- Confirmation that the required campaign hashtag was used;
- Compliance with the Terms and Conditions, Brand Guidelines and Campaign Do’s & Don’ts; and
- Identity verification using the information (Phone number, email address and social media handles) submitted at registration.
12. Rewards
- Winner(s) will be selected at the end of the Challenge Period based on the cumulative number of video views generated from user-submitted content.
- Qualifying participants will be contacted via the registered phone number and/or email within 14 (fourteen) days after the close of the Challenge Period.
- Cash rewards will be issued via mobile money transfer to the registered phone number within 30 (thirty) days following successful verification.
13. Appeals Process
An appeals window will open after the Challenge period window closes. The process is as follows:
- Post window closes: 31st October 2026 at 11.59 PM EAT
- Appeals window: 1st November 2026 12.00 AM EAT to 14th November 2026 11.59 PM EAT— creators may submit disputes during this period (missing posts, incorrect metrics, wrongly rejected content)
General rules of the challenge
14. All Prizes must be claimed within the period of the Challenge, subject to clause 4 of these Terms and Conditions. The Organizers the discretion to select an alternate participant from the draw if a winner fails to claim their prize or is otherwise unable to claim the prize.
15. The Organizers reserve the right to nullify the cash rewards if there have been at least 3 unsuccessful attempts to deposit winning amount to the participant’s mobile number.
16. The Organizers may nullify any prize to any participant in the event of fraud, dishonesty or non-eligibility under these Terms and Conditions.
17. The Organizers reserve the right to amend and adjust the Challenge format and timings as they deem fit and shall communicate the same as necessary.
18. Although the Organizers have used reasonable efforts to ensure that all information and materials relating to the Challenge are accurate, they shall not be liable for any inaccuracy or errors in such information and/or material. The Organizers, their agents and sub-contractors will also not bear responsibility for any loss or damage to a participant, whether caused by self or any third party, arising from matters outside the control of the Organizers, their agents and sub-contractors including but not limited to force majeure events such as acts of God, computer viruses, power outages; lockdowns, epidemics/pandemics etc.
19. In case of any queries or concerns on the Challenge, participants should submit queries to the help section on the website.
20. Release and Limitations of Liability: Except where prohibited, by participating in the Challenge, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Organizers and Gambling Regulatory Authority Board and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, challenge partners, prize partners, agents and agencies, and the officers, directors and employees of each of them (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Challenge or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) failure to award any component of a prize due to the occurrence of any public health emergency; or (b) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Challenge or receipt, use or misuse of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Challenge and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Participants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
21. Publicity and Content Rights; The Organiser may require the participants to be identified, photographed and published on social media. By entering, participants consent to the publication of their images and acknowledge the viral nature of the Internet and other electronic media and agree that any use by third parties of the Content or any display of the Content on domains of the Internet or other electronic media not owned by The Coca‑Cola Company shall not constitute a breach of violation hereof by The Coca‑Cola Company.
22. Indemnity and Limitation of Liability: All participants indemnify the Organiser, it’s advertising agencies, affiliates, advisors, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Challenge (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Organiser and/or receipt and/or use of the Rewards). The Organiser, its associated companies or affiliates including their directors, officers and employees, agents and suppliers, shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, corrupted, incorrect, delayed or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be redeemed for any technical reason, delivery or other reasons. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any technical failure relating to the Challenge that may result in a video not being successfully submitted. The Organiser shall not be responsible for content not entered for whatever reason. In no event will the Organiser be liable to participants for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages or losses.
23. Marketing Communications; By entering the Challenge, the participants agree that The Coca‑Cola Company and its affiliates (including the Organiser, subsidiaries, Bottlers and joint ventures) may contact the participants via email, phone number, social media platforms, SMS and other platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and challenge activities subject to their prior consent and the provisions of the Data Protection Act, No. 24 of 2019 (“DPA”). The Organiser shall adhere to DPA in respect of the processing of the participants’ personal information and including any direct marketing. The Organizers will process this personal data in accordance with the Coca‑Cola Privacy Policy – available for review here, and in accordance with data protection requirements under the Kenyan Data Protection Act, Act No. 24 of 2019. Before processing your personal information, the Organizers will seek your explicit consent to proceed. You have the right to decline to the processing of your information; however, this may impact dissemination of information in relation to the Challenge.
24. Force majeure; In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel this Challenge, to change the number or nature of a reward at any time, or to change the terms and conditions at the Organiser’s discretion.
25. Support and Queries; All queries relating to the Challenge can be directed to the support system on the official challenge website Fanta Creator Platform
26. Governing Law; The Challenge and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Kenya, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
27. By entering the Challenge, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions which will be subject to interpretation by the Organizers and the Gambling Regulatory Authority whose interpretation shall be final and binding.
28. The Organizers reserve the right to amend, modify or change these rules at any time during the Challenge and/or to terminate the Challenge entirely, which amendment, modification, termination or change of these rules or of the Challenge shall be subject to consultation with the Gambling Regulatory Authority.
29. All participants further warrant and represent that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound thereby.
30. The Challenge is conducted subject to the Laws of the Republic of Kenya. The Challenge remains subject to the provisions of the Gambling Control Act of 2025 (the Act) and any disputes arising shall be resolved in accordance with the provision of the Act.
31. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable in whole or in part, the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the affected provisions shall continue to be valid.
CAUTION: The Organizers do not require participants to send cash, airtime credit or other consideration to receive any of the prizes and will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by any person who fails to pay heed to this notification.
