Pakistan & Coca‑Cola Create History at Fifa World Cup™ 2018, Russia

After releasing Coca‑Cola’s Official FIFA World Cup Anthem, “Colors”, featuring Pakistani star singer Qurat-ul-ain Balouch commonly known as QB and American star Jason Derulo, Coca‑Cola went on to create another historic moment for Pakistan.

Pakistan cemented its place in the books of history when a 15-year old, Ahmed became part of the official Coin Toss ceremony at the Brazil vs Costa Rica Match creating a historic moment for the youth across Pakistan. Sialkot, Pakistan is also famous for producing World Class Footballs for many years. Telstar, the official football for FIFA World Cup 2018 has also been produced in Sialkot.

Coca‑Cola created ‘Only Coke-Can-Do’ thing, when they took Ahmed and fulfilled his dream to represent Pakistan in a Football World Cup match and also meet his idol, Neymar Jr. Ahmed is also a proud son of a father who himself works as a football stitcher in Sialkot who has been supplying hand stitched footballs to FIFA for the last 20 years.

The news broke the internet and created huge impact by generating massive conversation on social and conventional media. It not only created excitement among the football fans but also among all Pakistanis making it a celebrated national event. International and local Influencers from Football, entertainment and other interest areas amplified the news.

The moment was made even more special by Kaleemullah Khan (Captain of Pakistan National football team) and Hajra Khan (Captain of Pakistan National football women’s team) who were by Ahmed’s side throughout his ecstatic journey. To celebrate and document Ahmed’s journey from the streets of Sialkot to the FIFA World Cup Stadium in Moscow, Coca‑Cola has collaborated with two-time Academy Award-winning film-maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Ahmed’s football dream documentary will be released in July 2018.
