Coca‑Cola strengthens its football legacy with new Wydad Athletic Partnership

Casablanca, 10 November 2025
– Following the recent announcement of Coca‑Cola’s football club sponsorship in Morocco, Coca‑Cola, together with Equatorial Coca‑Cola Bottling Company (ECCBC), has unveiled another landmark three-year partnership with one of the country’s most celebrated clubs, Wydad Athletic Club (WAC). Founded in 1937 and based in Casablanca, Wydad Athletic Club holds a national record of 22 Botola titles and has been crowned African champion three times — in 1992, 2017, and 2022.

This partnership further strengthens Coca‑Cola’s ties to Moroccan football, positioning the brand at the heart of the nation’s greatest sporting passion. In collaboration with WAC, Coca‑Cola will bring fans closer to the game through exclusive activations, unforgettable match-day experiences, coveted tickets, and opportunities for supporters to engage directly with players.

“Football in Morocco is more than a game; it’s a unifying heartbeat and a shared identity. Partnering with a Football Club with such rich heritage allows us to give fans exceptional experiences and memorable moments,” said Farid Benchakroune, General Manager, ECCBC Morocco.

The partnership builds on Coca‑Cola’s long-standing commitment to football at a pivotal time in the sporting calendar, with Morocco hosting the African Nations Cup League this year and gearing up for the FIFA World Cup 26™.

“We are proud to embark on this partnership that will create meaningful impact and support the growth of football locally. This marks the start of a historic collaboration with Morocco’s homegrown team with a distinguished history of 22 national titles alongside major continental victories,” added Charbel El Beyrouthy, General Manager, Coca‑Cola in Morocco.

Hicham Aït Menna, President of Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) said: “Wydad’s history is built on passion, resilience, and the unwavering support of our incredible fans. Partnering with Coca‑Cola, a brand that shares our love for the game and belief in its ability to bring people together, opens an exciting new chapter. Together, we will deliver unforgettable moments on and off the pitch and begin a new chapter in the proud story of Wydad.

“This sponsorship will support our efforts to nurture local talent and engage with fans across the nation. We look forward to the positive outcomes this partnership will bring,” Hicham Aït Menna, President of WAC added.

Coca‑Cola, long recognized for harnessing the power of sport to inspire people everywhere, is one of the world’s most active sports sponsors—proudly supporting global events such as the FIFA World Cup™, the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the UEFA European Championship, as well as national clubs and teams across the world.
