Through our global commitment towards a “World Without Waste” launched in 2018, we are re-imagining our approach to packaging across our African markets. We are working towards collecting a bottle or can for each one we sell by 2030. We have also committed to making 100% of our packing recyclable by 2025 and use at least 50% recycled material in our packaging by 2030.
See how Coca‑Cola Africa is already contributing to this ambitious plan by bringing people together and investing in recycling infrastructure and packaging:
First water bottle made entirely out of recycled plastic (100% rPET) under our Bonaqua brand.
Introduction of a 2L returnable bottle made of PET plastic our South African bottling partner, Coca Cola Beverages South Africa.
Sprite Bottle going clear to encourage better quality of recycling.
