Coca‑Cola Expands Its Cherry Portfolio with Coca‑Cola Cherry Float and the Nationwide Release of Diet Coke Cherry

02/05/2026

Coca‑Cola is celebrating four decades of cherry-flavoured innovation with a major expansion of its Cherry portfolio, unveiling Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float and the nationwide release of Diet Coke Cherry. These additions join the existing Coca‑Cola Cherry and Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry lineup, with Diet Coke Cherry arriving in stores in February, and Cherry Float rolling out to retailers across Canada in March of this year.

Introduced in 1985 as Coca‑Cola’s first-ever flavoured extension of the trademark brand, Cherry Coke established a legacy that continues to influence beverage culture today. In 2026, Coca‑Cola builds on that heritage by offering consumers more cherry-forward choices than ever before, reflecting growing demand for nostalgic flavours reimagined in modern ways.

Leading the expansion is Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, a new limited-time offering with a flavour experience inspired by the classic soda fountain treat. Crafted to deliver the taste of a Cherry Coke float — without ice cream or dairy — the beverage blends Coca‑Cola Cherry with smooth, creamy vanilla flavours for a familiar yet new profile. Coca‑Cola Cherry Float will be available in full sugar and zero sugar varieties in 500mL rPET bottles and 355mL 12-packs, with Coca‑Cola Cherry Float also available in 355mL sleek cans.

The Cherry Float packaging introduces a refreshed visual expression for the brand, maintaining Coca‑Cola’s iconic red while incorporating cherry-inspired pink and purple gradients. A vintage Coca‑Cola float illustration anchors the design, while white script distinguishes full-sugar varieties, and black script differentiates zero-sugar formats.

Alongside Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola is broadening its cherry portfolio with the addition of Diet Coke Cherry. Long sought by loyal fans, the beverage delivers the crisp, refreshing Diet Coke taste with a bold, nostalgic cherry twist—zero sugar, zero calories, and now easier than ever to find. Diet Coke Cherry will roll out in 500mL rPET bottles and 355mL 12-packs with updated packaging featuring standard Diet Coke branding complemented by cherry iconography. The limited retro packaging previously seen in select markets will not be part of the national release.

With these additions, Coca‑Cola’s full Cherry lineup now includes Coca‑Cola Cherry, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry, Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float, and Diet Coke Cherry — each offering a distinct expression of cherry flavour to meet a wide range of consumer preferences.

Coca‑Cola Cherry Float, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar Cherry Float and Diet Coke Cherry bottles and cans are made, moved and sold in Canada by Coke Canada Bottling. The three products will be available at major retailers in Canada, as well as online at cocacola.ca. Select offerings will also be accessible through Coca‑Cola Freestyle machines.
