SPRITE BRINGS THE HEAT AT THE CANADIAN NATIONAL EXHIBITION

08/21/2026

This summer, Sprite is bringing its ‘Hurts Real Good’ campaign to one of Canada's most iconic summer venues, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto, to spotlight Sprite as the perfect pairing for spicy food.

“The CNE provides the perfect backdrop to engage with Canadians via a highly anticipated occasion that celebrates unique flavours, creativity and the unexpected,” said Jacques Blanchet, Director of Integrated Marketing for Coca‑Cola Canada. “By pairing spicy food with Sprite’s intense lemon-lime fizz, we’re creating a thrilling flavour experience that Canadians can enjoy and reach for beyond the exhibition.”

A Pairing That ‘Hurts Real Good’

With half of young Canadians eating spicy food every week, Sprite is tapping into the growing interest in bold, fiery flavours by joining forces with Toronto's fan-favourite spicy food truck, TWELVE, to introduce the exclusive ‘Sprite Hurts Real Good Combo’. This fiery duo features a Takis-encrusted Korean corn dog coated in the tangy heat of Takis Fuego and paired with a 500mL iced-cold Sprite, for an intense, full-sensory flavour experience.

Available only at the CNE from August 22; 5:00 PM to September 7, spice lovers can enjoy the exclusive combo and savour this thrilling pair before it’s gone. Visitors can also receive a complimentary sample of Sprite with the purchase of any food item from TWELVE, while supplies last.

Bringing a Global Trend to a Canadian Icon

Spicy food has evolved from a flavour preference into a global cultural phenomenon, fuelled by Gen Z’s appetite for bold flavours, sensory experiences and food moments made to be shared. By bringing the heat to the CNE, Sprite is connecting with Canadians through an experience rooted in food, flavour and discovery.

Doubling down on its street-culture heritage, Sprite's partnership with TWELVE reflects the brand's commitment to collaborating with local businesses that bring authenticity and creativity to the communities they serve. Together, the two brands have created an experience that celebrates thrilling flavours while showcasing the innovation and diversity of Toronto's food scene.

Whether you're a lifelong spice enthusiast or simply curious about the pairing, Sprite invites Canadians to experience one of the summer's hottest flavour combinations and taste how Sprite and spicy ‘Hurts Real Good.’
