Coca‑Cola New Zealand is committed to providing more choice across our beverage portfolio and reducing added sugar.

We are focused on offering a range of drink choices for all lifestyles and occasions. As we evolve our portfolio to meet changing consumer expectations, we are also taking steps to offer more options with less added sugar, promoting lower and zero sugar beverages and making smaller pack sizes more available to help enable portion control.

Providing choice with zeros

Today, one in two Coca‑Cola beverages purchased in New Zealand have no sugar, and 45% of our drinks purchased are low or no sugar. We’ve also expanded beyond soft drinks, introducing new zero sugar options like Powerade Zero Sugar and Powerade Active Water as well as flavoured waters.  

Clear information for more informed choices

We want people to make informed choices about what they drink. That’s why we provide clear and meaningful nutritional information about what's inside our drinks. Over 90% of our packs now carry the Health Star Rating on the front of the pack, helping consumers make informed choices.

Committed to responsible marketing

We’re committed to the responsible marketing of our products, ensuring that individuals under the age of 16 are not directly targeted by our advertising or promotions. We uphold the Advertising Standards Authority’s Food and Beverage Code and, through our commitment with the New Zealand Beverage Council, only directly sell water into primary and intermediate schools.
