WATER

Essential to people, ecosystems, and is the main ingredient in our products.

We aim to promote water stewardship within our business to increase water use efficiency and treat and return safe water to communities.

Water replenishment

Since 2015, we have met or exceeded our goal to return more than 100% of the water used in our finished products globally, on an aggregate level, to nature and communities with support from The Coca‑Cola Foundation, owned and independent bottling partners and independent suppliers and partners.

Community programs to support access to water & sanitation

Together with The Coca‑Cola Foundation, our partners and co-funders, we helped support millions of people gain access to water, sanitation and hygiene and recovery during crises and natural disasters.

Taking a local approach

We have operations around the world. And because we source water locally, we also aim to reach 100% replenishment in each of our more than 200 high-risk locations* across the Coca‑Cola system by 2035. These locations represent almost a third of our locations* globally.

Landcare Australia Partnership

Since 2006, Coca‑Cola Australia and our bottling partner, Coca‑Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), have proudly teamed up with Landcare Australia on a range of impactful projects, helping support and strengthen communities across the country.

The most recent partnership initiative -  The Farm Dam Restoration Project - launched in 2022 and aims to improve drought resilience, wildlife habitat and water quality.

Great Barrier Reef

The Coca‑Cola Foundation (TCCF), the global philanthropic arm of The Coca‑Cola Company (TCCC), and Great Barrier Reef Foundation are reviving the Great Barrier Reef’s seagrass meadows, a critical habitat for marine life. It’s a lifeline for the Reef’s marine species that rely on this critical ecosystem and the communities who have cared for them for generations.

Healthy Land & Water for the Lockyer Catchment

Healthy Land & Water and Coca‑Cola Australia are partnering to support sustainable agriculture practices for farmland around the Lockyer Catchment which feeds into the Brisbane River and out into Moreton Bay.
The project, which is part of Coca‑Cola in the Community - a joint initiative by Coca‑Cola and Coca‑Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) Australia- commenced in December 2024. It focuses on farming practices such as rotating cattle grazing to allow native grass to grow back and improve groundwater recharge.

Cleaning up the Great barrier Reef- Eco barge Clean Seas

Coca‑Cola in Australia, with support from the Coca‑-Cola Foundation, has been partnering with Eco Barge Clean Seas since 2018 to help clean up over 23,000kg* of marine debris from the Great Barrier Reef. We’ve‑ also helped ensure that much of the material dredged from the ocean does not end up in landfill.
