Human Rights Policy
For 130 years, the Company has built a reputation on trust and respect and we are committed to earning that trust with a set of values that represent the highest standards of integrity and excellence.
As a confirmation of this commitment, on Human Rights Day, 2014, the Company announced its updated Human Rights Policy. The updated policy combined our 2007 Human Rights Statement, 2007 Workplace Rights Policy and 2012 Global Mutual Respect Policy into a single, clear policy document. Consistent with the three earlier policies, the Human Rights Policy is guided by international human rights principles encompassed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the United Nations Global Compact. The updated policy also aligns with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights endorsed by the UN Human Rights Council in 2011.
Our Human Rights Policy establishes a foundation for managing our business around the world in accordance with these high standards. The Human Rights Policy applies to The Coca‑Cola Company, the entities that it owns, the entities in which it holds a majority interest, and the facilities that it manages. The Company is committed to working with and encouraging our bottling partners to uphold the principles in this policy and to adopt similar policies within their businesses. The Supplier Guiding Principles applies to our bottling partners and our suppliers and are aligned with the expectations and commitments of our overarching Human Rights Policy.
The policy focuses on fostering open and inclusive workplaces based on human rights and includes the following ten components:

At The Coca‑Cola Company, it is every employee’s responsibility to preserve a work environment that reflects respect and is free from intolerance and harassment. If any employee believes that someone is violating the Human Rights Policy or the law, they are asked to report it immediately to their manager, Human Resources, Company legal counsel or EthicsLine.
