About The King’s Trust Canada

Founded in 2011, by His Majesty King Charles III, The King's Trust Canada (formerly the Prince's Trust Canada), is a national charity that creates pathways to employment for young people facing barriers by providing free skills training, work experience and networking opportunities.

The King’s Trust Canada works with leading Canadian employers, community partners, and educational institutions to advance their mission of helping 100,000 youth increase their employability. By enhancing the skills of Canada's young people – especially those facing attitudinal, historic, social and environmental barriers,  the organization plays an integral role in strengthening Canada's workforce, promoting equity and fostering sustainable economic growth. Their free, accessible, and fun programs are designed to teach young people the professional skills employers seek, such as critical thinking, communication, time management, and adaptability.

In Partnership with Coca‑Cola

With traditional entry-level jobs in decline, young people (especially those facing barriers) are missing key opportunities to build workplace skills. The Sport for Development approach offers a proven alternative, using participation and play to foster life and employability skills like resilience, communication, problem solving, and teamwork. These are the same competencies once developed through first jobs and now essential to thriving in today’s labor market.

As Coca‑Cola’s primary Canadian non-profit partner within their FIFA World Cup 2026TM youth empowerment programming, The King’s Trust Canada is launching a sports-focused youth employment skills campaign. The program will include kick-off events in Toronto and Vancouver, followed by large-scale Youth Sports Employment Summits in these two cities in Spring 2026. This campaign reimagines sport as a pathway to workforce readiness, inclusion, and long-term opportunity for young people.
