A few things to know about Coca‑Cola Christmas in the Park being held on Saturday 29 November at North Hagley Park, Christchurch.

Bus Information

Drop-off zone

Drop off zones will be installed at the following locations from 4.00 pm on Saturday 29 November.

- Armagh Street North side from Park Terrace to Cranmer Square West.

- Harper Avenue South side from Bealey Avenue to 100m West of Bealey Avenue.

- Both sides of Kilmore Street from Cranmer Square West to Park Terrace.

- Park Terrace East side from Chester Street West to Armagh Street.

- Rolleston Avenue East side from Armagh Street to Gloucester Street.

Mobility parking

Mobility parking, for mobility cardholders only, will be in Chester Street West and in the Botanic Gardens carpark (access to Botanic Gardens carpark via the Armagh Street Bridge).

Parking

There will be no public parking in Hagley Park. The Botanic Gardens car park will be closed to incoming traffic from 3.00 pm on Saturday 29 November except for mobility card holders.

Pedestrian access

Where possible please keep to the pathways around the park to maintain safety.

Refresh, recycle, repeat! 

Let’s keep Hagley Park beautiful this Christmas. Look out for the rubbish, compost and recycling bins around Coca‑Cola Christmas in the Park and dispose of your waste in the correct bin. All our cans and bottles are recyclable, please remember to recycle in the bins provided. You can also visit the Coca‑Cola Recycling Wall to recycle your empty bottle or can and spin for a chance to win some fantastic prizes!

Road Closures

Concert goers are advised to plan their journey and allow plenty of time to minimise delays travelling to and from the concert.

Due to anticipated crowd volumes and public safety concerns as people enter and leave the event, the proposed road closures will be carried out on Saturday 29 November 2025 at:

- Armagh Street between Cranmer Square and Park Terrace - 9.00 pm – 11.30 pm.

- Park Terrace between Bealey Avenue and Dorset Street 5.00 pm – 11.30 pm.

- Park Terrace between Armagh Street and Chester Street West – 9.00 pm – 11.30 pm.

- Rolleston Avenue between Armagh Street and Gloucester Street – 9.00 pm – 11.30 pm.

Cancellation

If the weather prevents Coca‑Cola Christmas in the Park from proceeding it will be cancelled. Please listen to 92.1 MORE FM for details. There is no rain date for the event.

No ‘hawkers’, charity collectors or unauthorised sellers of goods are allowed on North Hagley Park and surrounding streets.
