American Chamber of Commerce South Africa elects Phillipine Mtikitiki as the new President
The American Chamber of Commerce South Africa (AmCham) has elected Phillipine Mtikitiki, Vice-President of Coca‑Cola's South Africa Franchise, to take up the role of President. She will succeed Lee Dawes, CEO of General Electric.

Previously, Phillipine held the position of Co-Vice President of AmCham. Outgoing President Lee Dawes said, "The American Chamber is delighted to welcome Phillipine onto the Board as President. We have no doubt that she will add enormous value to the organisation moving forward."
Phillipine was born in the Mpumalanga province and has an Economics Honours Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an MBA from the University of Reading, Henley Business School. In 2019 she was appointed Vice President and General Manager for the East and Central Africa regions. Here she was responsible for leading the Coca‑Cola System in 12 countries, focusing on business growth, building talent and creating meaningful external partnerships for a better shared future. She was also the AmCham-President in Kenya, during her tenure in East and Central Africa.
She is a passionate advocate for the advancement of African girls at a grassroots level and a champion for developing talent and accelerating growth opportunities for women and youth. Her appointment also highlights Coca‑Cola's commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Coca‑Cola aspires to mirror the diversity of its markets, including being 50% led by women globally by 2030. Phillipine's appointment is a testament to this ambition.
