Matrona Filippou is the President for Coca‑Cola Southern and East Africa (SEABU). SEABU covers 18 countries in East Africa, the Horn of Africa region and Southern Africa.

Matrona Filippou is the President for Coca‑Cola Southern and East Africa Business Unit (SEABU). Headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa. Coca‑Cola SEABU covers 18 countries in East Africa, the Horn of Africa region, and Southern Africa.

Before taking this role, Matrona was based in Greece and served as the Franchise Operations Director within the Central and Eastern Europe Business Unit, which covers 12 diverse markets across South East Europe. Matrona joined Coca‑Cola in South Africa in 1996 in Finance, and has held a variety of leadership and operational roles across Africa and Europe in Finance, Customer Leadership, Strategy and Franchise Leadership. As the Stills & VEB (Ventures & Emerging Brands) General Manager for Coca‑Cola Central East and West Africa Business Unit, she led the identification and eventual acquisition of Chi Limited, the leading Value-Added-Dairy, Juice and RTD (Ready-to-Drink) Tea company in Nigeria.
