We know climate change is the defining challenge of our time and we want to play our part in addressing it and contributing to a solution. Coca‑Cola aims to be carbon neutral globally by 2050. No matter how much our business grows, our emissions must be reduced. We have set a Net Zero ambition for 2040 for our business in Europe, with an interim target of reducing our CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2015.

Climate change is a critical global challenge for us all, and we need to act to reduce our carbon emissions.
Food systems are responsible for a third of all emissions globally, and as a global leader in the beverage industry, we have a unique responsibility to contribute to a solution.

This will involve ongoing reduction of our own emissions while building resilience through helping partner businesses and communities to adapt to climate change.

The Coca‑Cola Company's global goal to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions aligns with the Paris Agreement targets that aim to keep global climate change well below the 2°C threshold.
In Europe, the Coca‑Cola System and its bottling partners support the European Union Green Deal, in its ambition to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

We have set a Net Zero ambition for 2040 for our business in Europe, with an interim target of reducing our CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2015, working across our manufacturing, bottling and supply chain operations.

There is no magic solution to address such a complex issue. Impactful, long-term improvements require an array of interconnected actions to reduce our carbon footprint across the five key areas we impact: ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, distribution, and refrigeration.
