The Special Olympics World Games is the largest inclusive global sporting event, held every two years, alternating between summer and winter editions. In 2025, the event will be held in Turin, where 1,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities from more than 102 delegations will compete.
But Special Olympics is far more than just another sporting event. For many of the athletes, the organization serves as a catalyst for a healthier and more active lifestyle. The World Games is an unmissable social gathering that forges lasting bonds between athletes and fosters a profound sense of inclusion in wider society.
For athletes, volunteers, coaches, and other supporters from across the globe, Special Olympics inspires hope and belief in a future filled with global acceptance, understanding and unity.
Globally, there are more than four million athletes and Unified Sports® partners and one million coaches and volunteers in over 200 countries, Special Olympics delivers more than 30 Olympic-type sports and nearly 50,000 games and competitions every year.
At Coca‑Cola, we lend support to Special Olympics program, athletes and events worldwide through financial contributions, volunteering and awareness-driven marketing initiatives.
