How is Minute Maid Orange Juice made?

The oranges that go into all Minute Maid juices are carefully selected and picked at their peak of ripeness. After harvesting, the oranges are washed, sorted, and squeezed to collect fresh juice and natural oils. Depending on the product, the juice is either concentrated or chilled for safe storage and to preserve flavor. Before being delivered to you, some orange oil and essence (in the case of from-concentrate juices) collected during juice making is blended back to ensure consistent fresh tasting juice. Pulp may be added back too depending on the product. The juice is pasteurized to ensure safety, but as minimally as possible to preserve taste.
