Ki’s Greens
- 1 Smoked Turkey Leg
- 2–3 lbs Fresh Greens (Mustard, Turnip, Collards–Washed and Chopped)
- 8 Cups Water (or Enough to Cover Turkey Leg and Greens)
- 1 Medium Onion, Chopped (Optional but Adds Flavor)
- 1–2 Tbsp Seasoned Salt (To Taste)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- ½–1 tsp Black Pepper (To Taste)
- ½ tsp No Sodium Season, Garlic, Onion Powder
- 2–3 Tbsp Vinegar (Apple Cider Vinegar is Best)
- Place smoked turkey leg in a large pot and cover with 8 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 45–60 minutes to create a rich broth.
- Add onion (optional) and season with seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and no-sodium garlic/onion seasoning.
- Add washed and chopped greens to the pot.
- Stir, cover, and cook until greens are tender (about 45–60 minutes).
- Add 2–3 tablespoons of vinegar, adjust seasoning, and serve.
