Terms and Conditions: Coca‑Cola EURO 2024 Promotion

1. Promoter: This Promotional Competition (“Competition”) is organised by Coca‑Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited and Multichoice Group Limited.

2. Eligibility: The Competition is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 (eighteen) years, in possession of a valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport) except any minor, employee, director, member, partner,  agent or consultant of the Promoter, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter and/or immediate family members of any of the above persons, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies. 

3. Agreement to Terms: By entering the Competition, all participants and the winners represent that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by them as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify, or change these terms and conditions/rules and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deems necessary. 

4. The Competition is only valid within South Africa.  Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prizes being awarded should they be declared a winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw.  

5. Promotion Period: The Competition will commence on 13th June 2024 and will end at 23h59 (South African time) on 18th July 2024 (“the Duration”). 

6. Prizes: The Participants stand a chance to Stand a chance to WIN 1 of 10 65-inch Televisions (“Prize”).


7. Participants will be required to do the following: 

a. Visit the Coca‑Cola UEFA Euro 2024 Competition website (“Website”) which is accessible here: https://www.coca-cola.com/za/en/offerings/uefa-2024-promotion;

b. Register for the promotion using your name, email address and phone number.

c. Once registered, the participant’s details will be automatically entered into a draw for the Competition.

8. Participants may enter the Competition subject to the following:

a. No automated or duplicated entries will be allowed and all entries must be made by a natural person on the Website.

b. If any entry was made in a manner which in the Promoter’s discretion provides the participant with an unfair advantage over other entrants, such a Participant will be disqualified from this Competition.

Winner selection and verification:

9. An independent auditor will conduct an audited random draw to select a total of 10 (ten) winners provided that the Promoter is able to verify the winners. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding. 

10. All winners will be notified telephonically on the number that the participant used to enter the Competition with a subsequent follow up to confirm their details. 

11. In order for the particular entries to be confirmed as valid, the possible winners will be required to provide their proof of identification, and complete telephonic competition verification including their full name, contact number and e-mail address and daytime delivery address to deliver the Prize. 

12. If the Promoter is unable to reach a winner after 1 (one) week from the date of entry being selected as a winner, or if a winner is a minor, or if a winner fails the verification process after drawing his/her entry for whatsoever reason or the winner is unwilling or unable to receive their prize for any reason whatsoever, such person will be disqualified and a draw for a replacement entry and winner will take place.

13. Once the winners have been verified, they will be advised when and how they will receive their Prize, within 30 (thirty) working days from being declared a winner. Winners will receive their Prize by appointed courier.

14. Once the winner has received the Prize, the Promoter will not take responsibility for any product malfunction or defect.  Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prize will pass on to the winner immediately upon delivery.

General Rules:

15. The winner must accept the Prize on an ‘as is’ basis, and the Promoter gives no representations or warranties as to the functionality or suitability of the Prize.

16. The Prize winners are obligated to behave responsibly and comply with the Competition rules and all reasonable requests of the Promoter and its agents. 

17. The Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are non-assignable, non-transferrable, not exchangeable and are redeemable only in the Republic of South Africa. The Promoters do not require participants to send cash, airtime credit or other consideration to receive the Prize and will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by any person who fails to pay heed to this notification.

18. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoter, it’s advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoter and/or use of the Prizes). The Promoters shall not be liable for any punitive, consequential, loss or profit, or indirect damages. Ownership of and risk in, and benefit attaching to a Prize awarded under this Promotion will pass to the winner immediately upon delivery of the Prize.

19. The Promoter may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Prizes or after having received their Prizes. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoter’s marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition. The Promoter may use the uploaded images in whole or in part, and any reproductions thereof, worldwide for advertising, promotion, publicity or otherwise on any website for any media purpose and for any other lawful purpose whatsoever. By posting any content, experiences, images on any social media platform or any other media, in relation to this Promotion and its associated promotional activities, participants consent and give the Promoters a world-wide, royalty free and non-exclusive license, to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish any content posted and/or submitted by a participant on a social media platform or any other media, for the purposes of promoting the products and/or services of the Promoters.

20. The Participants and its affiliates (including subsidiaries, Bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the participants via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities, subject to the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013.  Personal information collected from the participants will be processed in accordance with the Coca‑Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited Privacy Policy accessible at www.coca-cola.co.za and that such use may include transfers to the Promoter’s affiliates and third-party service providers in any country. 

21. The Promoter may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these Rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert to the Promoters.

22. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Promotion is impaired or affected in any way for any reason, including, but, not limited to, unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond the Promoters’ reasonable control, fraud, technical failures, regularly-scheduled maintenance, virus or other technical problem, the Promoters may, in their sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Promotion to address the impairment, then resume the Promotion in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these terms and conditions; or (b) cancel the Promotion (before entries are received); or (c) change the number or nature of the prize (provided that the Promoters will not change the conditions for participation or conditions for being awarded the prize as stated herein). The Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of the terms and conditions of this Promotion, or in a disruptive manner.  Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and/or civil law, and should such an attempt be made, the Promoters reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.  The Promoters’ failure to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.  

23. If the Promotion has been discontinued for any reason, Promoters, in their sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any prize offered herein.

25. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable in whole or in part, the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the affected provisions shall continue to be valid.

26. This Promotion (including prizes) shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
