Terms and Conditions: Sparletta 2026 UTC Promotion
1. Promoters: This Local Jewels Consumer Promotional Competition (“Competition”) is organised by Coca‑Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited (“CCA”), OffLimit Communications (Pty) Limited., and Coca‑Cola Peninsula Beverages (Proprietary) Limited (“CCPB”) (collectively the Promoters).
2. Eligibility: The Competition is only open to permanent residents and citizens of the Republic of South Africa of the age of 18 (eighteen) years or older, living in South Africa and in possession of a valid form of identification (South African Identity Document or Passport). All participants must be natural persons; legal entities cannot participate in this Competition, and no prize/s will be awarded to any legal entities. Any minor, or any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of any of the Promoters, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by any of the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any of the above persons, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies, or employees of the participating retailers are not eligible to participate in this Competition and are therefore disqualified from participating in this Competition. A participant who has previously won a prize in any Competition run by any of the Promoters in the last 6 (six) months shall not be eligible to participate in this Competition.
3. Agreement to these Terms and Conditions: By entering the Competition, all participants and the winners agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and further agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as interpreted by the Promoters, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoters reserve the right at any time, without notice, to amend, modify, or change these Terms and Conditions and any prizes, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time and/or for any reason which the Promoters reasonably deem necessary and without any compensation whatsoever. The names entered in the Competition must correspond with the participants’’ names on the identity document and/or passport of the participant.
4. The Competition is only valid within South Africa and is exclusive to the Western Cape and Northern Cape regions managed by CCPB (See Annexure B for participating regions. Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prizes being awarded should they be declared a winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw.
5. Competition Period:
The Competition commences on 21 September 2026 and ends at 23h59 (South African time) on 31 December 2026.
Entries received after the Competition Period will not be considered. Entries will be deemed to be received at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoters. Incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and thus disqualified. Winners of certain prizes will be selected during the course of the Competition Period.
6. Entry Mechanic/How To Enter:
To enter this Competition and stand a chance to win a Prize, participants must do the following:
a. Participants can enter into this Competition by using the following entry mechanic:
- Unique code mechanic for Coca‑Cola Products:
Participants must purchase a participating promotional product (see Annexure A for a list of participating products) which contains a unique code under the yellow closure at participating stores, takeaways and retailers. Each code may only be used once. Not all products have unique codes on them. Promotional unique codes are 10 characters long and consist of a combination of numbers and letters. They do not contain any spaces or symbols. Participants may enter this Competition with as many times as they wish provided that each entry is accompanied by a separate valid unique code and the entry mechanic set out in these Terms and Conditions is completed each time. Each unique code is valid for one entry only. See annexure A for participating products that contain unique codes; and - Scan QR Code and follow the prompts to complete the registration process which will require participants to agree to these Terms and Conditions and provide their first name, surname and an opt-in decision to agree to, or decline to receiving direct marketing messages from The Coca‑Cola Company and CCA. Alternatively, if the participant is unable to scan the QR Code, they may visit https://www.coca-cola.com/za/en/offerings/sparletta-2026 and follow the prompts to complete the registration process referenced above.
7. Selection:
Participants may enter the Competition subject to the following conditions:
a. No automated entries will be allowed and all entries must be made by a natural person manually as per the entry mechanic described above.
b. If any entry was made in a manner which in the Promoters’ discretion provides the participant with an unfair advantage over other entrants, such a participant will be disqualified from this Competition.
c. The Promoters shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt or proof of a valid entry.
d. The Promoters shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
e. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data, sharing till slips to generate additional entries or when participating despite being a person excluded from participation in paragraph 2. The Promoters reserve the right to block such persons from submitting any further entries when a breach of this clause is detected.
8. Description of Prizes:
Participants stand a chance to win:
a. Tier 1:
i. 1 of 20 000 airtime or data vouchers valued at R20 (Twenty Rands) each (“R20 Airtime Voucher”);
or
ii. 1 of 100 fuel vouchers valued at R1 000 (One Thousand Rands) each (“R1 000 Fuel Voucher”);
or
iii. 1 of 50 shopping trolley dash experiences valued at R5 000 (Five Thousand Rands) each (“R5 000 Trolley Dash”);
9. The Promoters shall solely determine the specifications of each Prize and the Promoters’ decision shall be binding and final in this regard. The conditions of each Prize are set out in clause 12 to 15 of these Terms & Conditions. Participants acknowledge that there is no guarantee that they will win a prize in this Competition.
10. The Promoters shall not award a Prize to any participant and/or winner if it is unlawful to supply such Prize to the participant and/or winner. In such instance, the participant and/or winner shall be disqualified and shall immediately forfeit any entitlement to the Prize, without compensation of any nature, regardless of whether the participant and/or winner has been verified as a winner or has received notification that they have been selected as a winner.
11. Forfeiture/disqualification additional conditions: If the Promoters (whether directly or through their agencies) are unable to contact or reach a potential winner for any of the prizes in this Competition, on his or her mobile number used to enter into this Competition after drawing his or her entry for whatever reason within 48 hours from the date of first notification as set out in these Terms and Conditions or if an official winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours from the date of being declared an official winner to arrange the delivery or collection or redemption of a prize as the case may be, or if a winner forfeits a prize for any reason, or if a person is not eligible to enter into this Competition, or if a potential winner fails the verification process after drawing his/her entry for whatsoever reason or if a potential winner or official winner fails to provide any required information within the timelines stipulated or if a winner refuses to accept a prize or refuses or fails to sign and send to the Promoters the acknowledgement of receipt of the prize, then such person will immediately forfeit their chance to win the prize or the prize and will be immediately disqualified from this Competition and an alternate potential winner from all remaining eligible entries (up to 3 (three) alternate potential winners may be permitted at the discretion of the Promoters) will be drawn, at the discretion of the Promoters. If the alternate potential winner/s are disqualified for whatever reason, the applicable prize will not be awarded, and the Promoters will decide what to do with the unawarded prize at their sole and absolute discretion.
12. Winner Selection and additional conditions for Prizes:
13. Winners of R20 Airtime Voucher: Winners of airtime voucher prize will be selected daily during the Competition Period using an automated random computerised competition service which will be conducted by OffLimit Communication. Participants selected through this process will be notified instantly on the contact number used to enter the Competition that they are potential winners, subject to verification in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The prize will be topped up to their device automatically within 72 hours of the draw being conducted. Each airtime voucher is valid for 30 days from date of issue. The R20 Airtime Voucher Prizes are for different mobile network providers in South Africa, determined by the mobile number used to submit the winning entry.
14. Winners of Fuel Vouchers: 20 winners of fuel voucher prizes will be selected monthly during the Competition Period using an automated random computerised competition service which will be conducted by OffLimit Communication. Participants selected through this process will be notified instantly on the contact number used to enter the Competition that they are potential winners, subject to verification in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The prize will be in the form of a Master Card gift card topped with R1000. Each gift card is valid for 3 years from date of issue.
15. Winners of Trolley Dashes: 10 winners of Trolley Dashes will be selected monthly during the Competition Period using an automated random computerised competition service which will be conducted by OffLimit Communication. Participants selected through this process will be notified instantly on the contact number used to enter the Competition that they are potential winners, subject to verification in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Winners will be invited to a central location to participate in a 5min Trolley Dash valued at R5000. If the winner resides outside of a 40km radius of the Trolley Dash location, the winner will have an option to accept their prize in the form of a Master Card gift card topped with R5000. Each gift card is valid for 3 years from date of issue.
16. Once the winner has received the Prize, the Promoters shall not be liable and shall not take responsibility for any product malfunction or defect or manufacturing faults or defects, or damage or loss of or the Prize. Ownership of and risk in and benefit attaching to the Prizes will pass on to the winner immediately. The Promoters do not cover insurance for the Prize once handed over to the winners of this Competition.
17. The Prize winners are obligated to behave responsibly and comply with these Terms and Conditions and all reasonable requests of the Promoters and its agents.
18. Winners accept the Prizes on an “as is” basis and Promoters do not warrant the Prizes’ merchantability or suitability for purpose. The Promoters do not manufacture, sell, or distribute the Prizes and cannot guarantee or warrant their functionality. The Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other item. The Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion and without notice or compensation whatsoever, to substitute the Prize with any other prize of comparable value, or to withdraw, withhold, and/or cancel a Prize.
19. All winners are first subject to verification by the promoter, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the promotion. If a participant/ winner fails the verification process for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and shall not receive a prize and a replacement draw for a new winner will take place. A participant is not a winner of any prize (whether instant prizes or random draw prizes) even if such participant receives a message indicating that he and/or she is a winner or even if the participant receives an email message saying that he and/or she won, unless and until such participant and their eligibility have been verified and such participant has received official notification that the verification is complete. The Promoters will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation processes.
20. Once a winner has redeemed a Prize, they are disqualified from winning any additional Prizes in this Promotion. This rule ensures fairness and allows a greater number of participants the opportunity to win. Any attempt to claim multiple Prizes will be considered a breach of the competition's Terms and Conditions and may result in disqualification.
21. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify and hold harmless, the Promoters, the Promoters’ advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca‑Cola Company and their respective affiliates and/or associated companies, from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses of whatsoever nature arising from and in connection with their participation in this Competition and/or their acceptance, possession, use or misuse, and or enjoyment of any Prize.
22. Publicity: The Promoters may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television or on social media platforms, digital platforms or any other media platforms, when accepting a Prize or after having received their Prize or any time thereafter. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and participation in the Promoters’ marketing and promotional material in so far as it relates to the Competition.
23. Data Privacy: All personal information of the participants will be Processed* (as defined below) in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and shall be subject to CCA’s Privacy Policy found at: https://www.coca-cola.com/za/en/legal/privacy-policy and shall be processed by all Promoters. By entering into this Competition, participants acknowledge and understand that: (a) it is mandatory for all participants to provide their personal information in order to participate in this Competition failing which the participants will not be able to enter into the Competition; (b) the participants’ personal information shall be used for the purposes of processing their entry into this Competition and additional purposes as detailed in CCA’s Privacy Policy found here: https://www.coca-cola.com/za/en/legal/privacy-policy. The participants’ personal information collected in this Competition will be collected via the entry mechanic above and will be accessed by all the Promoters for the purposes of this Competition. The personal information will be retained for the duration of this Competition and for additional 5 (five) years from the end date of this Competition to comply with applicable laws. The additional personal information of the potential winners shall be used to verify the details and identity of the potential winners and to deliver the prize or arrange for collection of the prize if they are declared official winners; (c) The Coca‑Cola Company and its affiliates (including CCA, subsidiaries, its bottlers and joint ventures) may contact the participants via email, SMS, social media platforms and through other platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities, subject to the participant’s prior consent and in accordance with the provisions of POPIA; (d) they hereby consent to CCA transferring the participants’ personal information outside the Republic of South Africa. Any data transfers to countries that do not offer an adequate level of protection are subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with the POPIA, to guarantee that participants’ personal information is adequately protected, including standards.
*Process or Processed or Processing means any operation or activity or any set of operations, whether or not by automatic means, concerning personal information, including: (a) the collection, receipt, recording, organisation, collation, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, alteration, consultation or use; (b) dissemination by means of transmission, distribution or making available in any other form; or merging, linking, as well as restriction, degradation, erasure or destruction of information.
24. The Promoters may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with these terms and conditions for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert back to the Promoters.
25. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond the Promoters’ reasonable control, the Promoters reserve the right at any time, and in their sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, amend or terminate the Competition, amend these Terms and Conditions or change the number, nature or value of any Prize.
26. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit, exclude or restrict any rights which a participant may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable law. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall remain of full force and effect.

28. These Terms and Conditions and the Competition will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
