Can bottle caps be recycled?

Misinformation continues to spread about the recyclability of caps.

In Great Britain, all of Coca‑Cola's bottles, including the caps have been recyclable for many years, but not all the package was being recycled fully.

That’s why, we implemented a new attached cap design to ensure the cap stays connected to the bottle after opening in, reducing the potential for it to be littered, whilst still offering people a positive drinking experience.

In Spring 2024, we completed the full roll-out of attached caps across all our brands in Great Britain.
