Taylor is a double gold medallist at the Special Olympics World Games, but her impact reaches far beyond the swimming pool.
After representing Team Special Olympics GB at the 2023 World Summer Games and winning two gold medals, Taylor became one of the team's standout personalities through her international media appearances.
Following spinal surgery, she's worked tirelessly to return to the pool and is now training towards competing at the 2026 National Summer Games before attempting a new Guinness World Record in open water swimming.
Discussing the impact Special Olympics GB has had on her life, Taylor said: “The Special Olympics is one big community where we all share the same stories or experiences, and that's what swimming is about for me. It is really empowering, and has brought out a confident side of me that I didn't know I had.”
Away from competition, Taylor is one of the youngest members of Special Olympics GB's Athlete Leadership Team, using her voice to inspire others and help change how people see intellectual disability.
As part of Coca‑Cola's partnership with Special Olympics GB, we're celebrating athletes whose achievements inspire others and help change perceptions of intellectual disability.
Through our We Can campaign, we're shining a spotlight on athletes from local clubs to the national and world stage - recognising them as the role models they are and inspiring more people to see what's possible.
Together with Special Olympics GB, we're proud to help create a future where every athlete is seen, valued and celebrated.
