- This next section is one of my favorites

because it so closely mirrors my own journey.

We're talking digital creators.

The way fans experience sports today is totally different from the past.

Digital creators help bring that experience to life.

For brands, teaming up with the right voice can be a game changer.

In this section, we'll break down some different types of digital creators,

why brands are turning to them more and more,

and I'll share a few examples of the ones I think are doing it really well.

 

There's more than one way to score a goal

and just as many ways to be a digital creator.

If you have accounts on social media,

you might even fall into one of these categories without knowing it.

Certainly, some of your favorite personalities fall into one of them.

Maybe you're here to set the vibe and influence culture,

or maybe you thrive on telling real time stories with a journalist's eye.

However you show up, there's a lane for you.

 

Let's talk about a few of the most common creator types.

Content creators, and influencers.

Many of your favorite follows on social media

probably fall into this category.

Known for their personality,

they often make funny videos based on existing templates or creating their own.

They share opinions and promote brands they love.

They might work alone or have a team of people,

but content creators and influencers are always looking to deliver fun posts on social media

that you can relate to and keep you coming back for more.

Streamers, vloggers, and podcasters,

you know and love them.

These creators are all about live engagement and real time reactions on websites like Twitch or YouTube.

They host watch parties, gaming streams, and live commentary

that you can watch along with whatever you're doing, sometimes even around the clock.

Even more than content creators and influencers,

streamers, vloggers, and podcasters might be part of your daily life.

 

I can speak to a content creator that I know well, myself.

As I mentioned before, I consider myself a little bit of everything.

Creator, influencer, streamer.

Here's one of my favorite pieces of content that went viral.

I was just out at the pitch playing soccer, filming myself,

and I realized there was another person playing,

and if you've ever been to the pitch playing,

you know that eventually you two will play together.

So I just filmed the whole thing

and then I edit it in a way that was very relatable to people

and it went viral on every single platform.

 

I know I'm gonna end up playing with that guy over there.

I don't have to invite.

I will be invited, okay?

I could invite him, be like, "Hey, play with me."

But instead, what I'm gonna do

is wait for the invitation because I know that he's gonna see and be like, "Oh, she good!"

Oh wow, these cleats feel good.

Follow the B, follow the B.

Left is just looking good.

I don't know what happened, but it looks like I'm a left footer right now.

I know it, guys, it's getting closer.

How else do I prove that I should be invited to play?

Oh, come on, look at that touch.

This is my weak foot, guys.

How much do I train? Zero.

Maybe I cheated and hit it to him.

I had one chance to prove that I was good.

Just send him the ball

and then we could engage in a back and forth of passing with no words.

No talking would have to take place, just mutual respect.

I hit it right to him, but not my best shot.

 (loud thudding)

- Yeah.

From vlogs to viral clips,

it's clear that digital creators have completely reshaped how we consume our favorite sports.

They changed the game,

and the good news is the tools to follow in their footsteps

are already right in your hands.
