In Great Britain, the Coca‑Cola System provides a 0.2% contribution to gross domestic product. That’s around £4.2 billion to the economy across the wider value chain.

This contribution is made possible because of our commitment to working with local businesses, with £1.5 billion worth of goods and services purchased directly by Coca‑Cola Europacific Partners from suppliers in Great Britain in 2022. 

Every pound spent within our local value chain, from innovation to ingredients sourcing, helps to strengthen the local economy and provide opportunities for local businesses to grow and thrive.

But our commitment to the communities we proudly serve goes beyond just direct financial contribution.

How does employment at Coca‑Cola benefit others?

In Great Britain we are proud to employ 22,000 people, and contribute to a further 43,800 jobs across our wider supply chain system, including trade, manufacturing, business services, transport, public services and agriculture. 

As well as the direct benefits that employment brings to communities, it also creates opportunities for the development of skills, technical expertise and capabilities which bring wider value to the local market. 

A variety of key sectors benefit from our employment opportunities, with trade being the lead sector in Great Britain totalling over 20,900 jobs, followed by manufacturing with over 8,500 jobs related to the Coca‑Cola System. 

Not only does this allow us to keep producing soft drinks, but it ensures that we can continue to pursue our aim of making a meaningful, long-term positive impact for the communities in which we live and work.
