One to Grow On

Los Angeles, CA

“One to grow on” celebrates America’s 250th birthday and the spirit of coming together. Rooted in my background in graffiti, skateboarding, and pop art, I wanted to create something energetic and approachable. The centerpiece—a birthday cake crowned with “250” candles—marks the historic milestone. Surrounding this centerpiece are iconic Americana, sports, music, and Coca‑Cola imagery. Honored to collaborate with Coca‑Cola in L.A., my hope is this mural sparks joy and invites families to gather, take photos, and celebrate together.

The Artist

Dave “Persue” Ross

Persue is a San Diego–based contemporary artist and muralist whose work bridges graffiti, illustration, and fine art. With a career spanning more than three decades, he has created large-scale public artworks, gallery exhibitions, and brand collaborations across the United States and internationally. Recognized for his bold compositions, expressive linework, and vibrant color palettes, Persue explores themes of imagination, community, and human connection. His work reflects a lifelong commitment to pushing creative boundaries while remaining rooted in the authentic spirit of street culture.
