Vibrant Los Angeles Coca‑Cola mural by Juan Navarro showing palm trees, a classic car, and an American flag.

America250 - Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA

My research began visiting the park with my son, watching families and talking with longtime Boyle Heights residents. At the upper right, the American flag commemorates America’s 250th anniversary. Loquats honor L.A.’s immigrant history and family roots, while community feedback inspired the Sixth Street Bridge, skyline, lowriders, monarchs, and the historic "Ship" Coca‑Cola plant. Oversized Mexican tile patterns with woven hearts act as my personal signature—celebrating love, pride, and belonging.
